Guidance Department

Welcome!  I am Mrs. Julianne Bauer, your child's school counselor.  You may hear your students refer to me as Ms. Klenk (I got married over the summer, so I am still answering to both!).  This is my second year as a school counselor and am excited to be experiencing it with the students and staff at Springcreek.
As a school counselor it is my job to promote positive development in personal/social, academic and career domains for all students.  I provide the following services as part of a comprehensive school counseling program:
  • Individual counseling
  • Small group counseling
  • Counselor led classroom instruction
  • Consultation and Collaboration with parents, teachers, and administration
  • Supplying resources to students and families on a variety of issues.
The School Counselor keeps information confidential unless disclosure is required and will inform parents and/or appropriate authorities when the student’s condition indicates:

 Why elementary school counseling?
"Elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skill necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. Through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, school counselors work as a team with the school staff, parents and the community to create a caring climate and atmosphere. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, school counselors can help all children achieve academic success." -American School Counselor Association
