Classroom Guidance

Counselor led classroom guidance lessons are an integral part of the school counselor program at Springcreek. Lessons will meet the American School Counselor Association Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success Standards. 

Topics for the 2024-2025 school year will include:

• Respect, responsibility, and kindness

• Teamwork and safety

• Gratitude

• Philanthropy

• Self-control

• Honesty and trustworthiness

• Optimism and perseverance

• Empathy and compassion

• Self-awareness and careers

The goal is to be in each classroom twice per month. The topics taught are also the traits we will be looking for in students to be named “Indian of the Month.” There is one Indian of the Month named per class.
