PBIS and "Indian Way"

The Indian Way
 
 Here at PCIS we use the Indian Way to teach our students how to be
RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and KIND.
As part of the Indian Initiative, Piqua Central Intermediate School utilizes Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports.  
PCIS PRIDE BUCKS ARE HERE!  Maybe you'll be caught being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, or KIND!

How do you join?: YOU’RE ALREADY IN!

Per quarter -

2 or less tardies;

NO office referrals (that did not result in detention);

NO bus suspensions

3 or less absences (excused or unexcused)

No F’s




What incentives you may receive: little treats at lunch, tv raffles, sporting event tickets, bike raffles, extra recess

In 2018, Piqua Central Intermediate School was recognized by the Ohio PBIS Network and State Support Team 10 and received state recognition Silver award, which is the highest rating you can receive in the 2nd year of PBIS implementation. In conjunction with the Indian Initiative and the Indian Way, the PBIS movement has established a positive school culture that not only sets the highest of expectations for academics, but also features the highest expectations for behavior by students and staff.
