LEAD

LEAD stands for Leadership Empowerment And Development and we meet twice a month.  Students have to complete an application, ask for teacher references, write an essay, have a good attendance record, and be a role model for the Indian Way to be accepted on the team. We look for students who will participate in and lead service projects and activities at the school and in the community.

Vision Statement of LEAD

The vision of LEAD is to develop students into innovative, responsible and servant-minded leaders who contribute positively to their homes, school, and community.

Mission Statement of LEAD

The purpose of LEAD is to bring students together to learn leadership skills, engage in activities that foster teamwork, build an inclusive community, demonstrate social responsibility and inspire a commitment to excellence and life-long learning.

LEAD will:

  1. Provide training in leadership skills

  2. Provide opportunities to practice and develop leadership skills

  3. Empower students to create action plans based on collaborative decisions

  4. Empower students to be innovative servant leaders

  5. Inspire students to set goals for themselves, their school, and their community

Run Club

Run Club is an 8 week program that allows our 6th students to move in a free, safe environment afterschool with motivating role models! Our goal as a run club is to prepare and participate in a 5k held at PHS Stadium in May

KKids

KKids is a group that focuses on teaching kids to care about their school, their community and their world through community service. We inspire kids to be leaders of kindness, respect and responsibility, while having fun in the process. We teach kids how to compete while encouraging others through team building activities. We are sponsored by the Piqua Kiwanis.  KKids is open to any student in grades 4-6.

LEGO Robotics

The LEGO Robotics club presents students with the opportunity to overcome various challenges that require problem-solving, communication, and creative thinking. Students build small robots that are put into motion using the LEGO Education application, and with simple coding their builds activate to motion. All students in grades 4-6 at PCIS are eligible to participate. It is a new way to engineer ideas that could leap into reality in our students' future.
