Board of Education
Piqua City Schools' elected Board of Education consists of five members, each serving a four year term. The Board is the governing body elected by the citizens of the school district to be legally responsible for the education of the children of the district. In 2018, those include:  Andy Hite, President, members Clint Bostick, Sean Ford, Kelly McMaken and Frank Patrizio.
 
Regular monthly meetings are held each month at 6:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at rotating locations. Workshop or other meetings where no action (without prior notice) is taken may be scheduled for the Board of Education Administrative Offices, located at 719 E. Ash Street, Piqua, Ohio. All meetings are open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend. Minutes are available through the official record kept by the Treasurer.
 
Board of Education Meetings for 2018 are scheduled as follows:  January 25 (Springcreek Primary), February 22 (Washington Primary), March 22 (Piqua Central Intermediate), April 26 (Piqua Junior High), May 24 (Piqua High School), June 28 (Board of Education Office), July 25 (Board of Education Office), August 23 (Springcreek Primary), September 27 (Washington Primary), October 18 (Piqua Central Intermediate), November 15 (Piqua Junior High), and December 20 (Piqua High School).  A work session will be held on November 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the OSBA Annual Meeting in Columbus.
 
 
The Piqua Board of Education maintains membership/representation in: Ohio School Boards Association, Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, GrowPiquaNow, Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Cooperative, Ohio High School Athletic Association, and SOITA (Southwestern Ohio Instructional Technology Association).
