Third Grade Clap Out
As is traditional,  the third grade students received a special farewell on their last day of school at Springcreek! 
Transition Day!
Students from Nicklin Learning Center and Favorite Hill Primary School spent a few hours visiting what will be their 'New' school beginning with the 2015-2016 school year! 
Reader's Theater
Students in Mrs. Garrett's first grade class work on reading fluency skills while having fun using Reader's Theater! 
Jump Rope for Heart
Students participated in the the "Jump Rope for Heart" project to raise money for the American Hearth Association! 
Fourth Quarter Awards
An awards assembly was held on the last day of school!

Students and family members enjoyed Camp Read S'More Family Night on Thursday, April 30th. 
"Army Man' Visits 1st grade
Col Neal McIntyre of the US Army visited several first grade classrooms on Thursday, May 7, 2015. 
Third grade students have just completed a unit of study on fossils. 
School Lunch Week
Family members were invited to eat school lunch with their children the week of April 13-17th! 
First Grade Field Trip - April
First Grade students enjoyed a field trip to Charleston Falls on April 14.

Students in Mrs. Nicholl's first grade classroom enjoyed St. Patrick's Day 
Optimist Outstanding Youth Award
Congratulations to third grader, Matthew McCall for being selected to represent Springcreek as an OUTSTANDING student at the Optimist Youth Appreciation Luncheon. 
Peer Mediators
Guidance Counselor, Lauren Mehling, started a Peer Mediator group in the third grade.  Members shared their new endeavour with Piqua Board of Education. 
Piqua City School Art Show
The Piqua City Schools annual Art Show was held on Saturday, April 18th at Piqua High School.  Many Springcreek students had work display

Kindergarten Kickoff and Welcome Session - Visit your child’s school for our Kindergarten Kickoff and Welcome Event! Your child will have the opportunity to experience kindergarten through games, skits, interactive technology, and activities. You will be scheduling your child’s Get Ready! Count Down to Kindergarten!
It is time to think about Kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year! 
Indian Pride Awards!
Students who earned the Totem Pole or Teepee level of awards for good behavior earned time to have some fun playing Dodge Ball!
NASA Rocks!
Students in third grade learned about NASA, space exploration and rocks found in our atmosphere! 
Straight A Grant Day at the Statehouse!
Piqua City Schools, Milton Union Schools and Franklin Monroe Schools in collaboration with PBS Learning Media, were Awarded a 2.1 Million dollar Straight A Grant!    The grant projected titled, REACH (Reading Expands All Children's Horizon's) focuses on providing technology to students in kindergarten and first grade as well as developing special curriculum that will increase each child's ability to engage in learning at home with their parents! The grant project is still in developmental stages.  A pilot project is scheduled for this Spring with full implementation slated for next school year!  
Valentine's Day!
Students enjoyed exchanging Valentine's Day cards and treats with their classmates. 
Demolition of the 'Old" Springcreek building!
Demolition of the historical former Springcreek School began on Feb. 10th, 2015! 
Owl Pellets!
In collaboration with Brukner Nature Center, our third grade students learned about the food chain of owls in addition to the unique characteristics of owls! 
Christmas Parade
Students from Springcreek Primary School participated in the annual Piqua Parade! 
New Building Dedication Ceremony
A Dedication Ceremony for the NEW Springcreek Primary School was held on Sunday, December 7, 2014. 
Thanksgiving Pie!
Students enjoyed a special Thanksgiving treat on Tuesday, November 25th ~ pumpkin pie and whipped cream! 
National Red Ribbon Week
Students celebrated National Red Ribbon Week and were encouraged to say "No" to drugs! 
Springcreek Commemoration Celebration
A special Commemoration Celebration was held at Springcreek Primary School on Sunday November 23rd, 2014. The school was open to the public to celebrate its long history in our community.
The new school will be opening in January 2015 and demolition of the current school is scheduled to begin soon after the new school opens.
Summer Reading Program Participants receive rewards!
Students who completed either the Piqua Public Library Summer Reading Program and/or those completing the Kids Read Now Summer Reading Program received rewards!

Cornerstone Ceremony
A Cornerstone Ceremony was conducted for the three new school building on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 
Bus Safety!
Students participated in an assembly to learn about bus safety. 
First Day of School
We had a great first day of school! 
Open House
Parents and students attended Open House on August 14, 2014.  Ice Cream from Susie's Big Dipper added a sweet, cold treat to start the year! 
Open House will be held August 14th from 4:30 - 5:45 PM.

Springcreek Primary School has been names a 2012-2013 School of Promise by the Ohio Department of Education.
