Piqua City School District Announces 2015-16 Teacher of the Year!

Pam George, Music Teacher at Washington Intermediate and High Street Primary Schools, has been named the 2015-2016 Piqua City Schools Teacher of the Year! Pam was presented the title
at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 by Superintendent Rick Hanes, Piqua City School District Board President Lori Webster and 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year Heath Butler.


Nominated by her peers, fellow staff members had the following comments: “Pam's enthusiasm, love and passion for teaching is truly an inspiration to all that know her. She creates an incredible learning environment in which she instills self-confidence, self-respect and determination in the students. Students in Mrs. George's classroom know that it is a place in which they can feel safe to express their thoughts and demonstrate their musical abilities."
