The Piqua Show Choir, The Company, claims the Grand Champion Title at the Beavercreek Classic. The 54 singer/dancers, 18 combo members, and 12-member crew threw everything at the judges, even the “kitchen sink” (yes, at one point there was a kitchen sink on stage) to pull out their second grand champion title this year. The show this year is packed full of moments that will entertain you. The energy and excitement on stage went unmatched. The last time Piqua won overall grand champion at Beavercreek was in 2012 with the same ballad, Sailing Melody!
The Company earned caption awards for people’s choice, best combo, best vocals, large mixed division grand champion, and overall grand champion. The best performer award for the Piqua Show Choir was awarded to Ethyn Wright. Kirsten Shaneyfelt was awarded best female soloist.
The Show Choir will compete in three additional competitions this year. They travel to Findlay High School to compete in the Findlay Fest on January 28, 2023. Save the date for the “Just Us Concert” on May 20, 2023.
