Welcome Washington Primary Families!
We are so eager to begin the 2024-2025 school year at Washington Primary!
At Washington Primary we take great care to provide a safe and welcoming environment where learning is engaging, and everyone is respectful, responsible, and kind to one another. Our word of the year is Commitment. As we embark on this new school year together, we must all be as committed to the process of learning to read and solve math problems on grade level and to learning and growing as respectful, responsible, and kind humans, as an Olympic athlete is to their practice and focus to meet their goals!
This year, students will be setting individual learning goals, participating in reading challenges, focusing on solving math problems, increasing our background knowledge of the world through social studies, growing our minds with interactive STEM, PE, Music, Art, and enjoying field trips, and special events! We have a special partnership with the Miami County Parks this year. Students will be participating in a schoolwide pollinator project all year. This year is going to be fantastic!
We value your input and partnership as your child’s first teacher and want you to feel like an integral member of our learning community as we work collaboratively to ensure growth and success for our students. Please contact us if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to support your child’s growth and development.

Please read all of the important information on our building information links. We have made a safety change to our end-of-day pick-up for students who are being picked up by parents/grandparents/caregivers getting out of their cars and picking up students at the Park Ave door. You’ll want to get a pick-up tag at Indian Days if you’ll be regularly picking up your student(s) at the end of the day.
Thank you for your support,
Ms. Heather Koehl, Principal & Mrs. Shannon Pence, Assistant Principal
