Parent Update (March 24, 2020)

Hello,

This is Dwayne Thompson, the Superintendent of Piqua City Schools with an update.

First, I would like to remind everyone that we will be distributing lunch and breakfast each day this week at PHS and PCIS beginning at noon.  Please enter Indian Trail for PHS and Camp Street for PCIS.

Teachers have finalized their lessons and student activities.  Information can be obtained on our website at www.piqua.org starting tomorrow.  Once there, scroll down until you see the link titled, ‘News.’  Next, click on the link that reads ‘Remote Learning Information.’  From there, you should be able to follow the directions.  If you have questions regarding any of your child’s lessons, please contact the teacher through e-mail so s/he can assist as needed.  Students in grades K-3 will receive log on information in the mail for their computers to assist parents with this process.

If your child is receiving a packet of activities instead of engaging with online lessons, they will be mailed to you soon.  We are in the process of assembling these and we will get them out as soon as we can.  Your child will not be penalized for late work, so please do not worry if it takes a few days for your packet or student log on information to arrive.

Our goal is to keep everyone safe while we begin this transition to home instruction so we appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation with this process.  One final reminder, we do not monitor social media for questions as it’s too large to manage.  Please send questions directly to your child’s teacher or building administrator so they can help you with your needs.

Thank you for your important partnership with us!
