Tuesday, November 7 is an important day for the education of our students. That is when citizens will vote to renew a Piqua City Schools operating levy. Because it is a renewal levy, the issue will not increase your tax rate. Funding from the ballot issue will go to existing day-to-day operations to support student learning.
To make sure your voice is heard in this important election, please register to vote. Many are unaware that they must register to vote again if they have moved or changed their name. Others think they are registered, but discover they are not until it is too late. Here are some of the questions we get regarding voter registration:
Am I qualified to vote? You are qualified to register if:
You are a citizen of the United States.
You are at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the election.
You have been a resident of Ohio at least 30 days before the election.
