Memorial Students Collect Items For SHIM
Mrs. Bentel's class
Memorial students did a great job supporting the Gratitude Committee's Clothing, Toy and Food Drive for the South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM).

This week-long collection ended on the 100th Day of School to encourage students to bring in donations of clothing, small toys and non-perishable food items to be given to SHIM for distribution to the needy in the area.

Classes were challenged to compete against one another to see which class could bring in the most items.  The winners were:
  • First Place -- Mrs. Bentel's Third Grade Class -- 147 items
  • Second Place -- Mrs. Reese's Fourth Grade Class -- 104 items
  • Third Place -- Mrs. Saussol's Third Grade Class -- 77 items
Thanks to the generosity of everybody, over 900 food items and many boxes of toys and clothes were brought in for SHIM.  Thank you for your support!  Please click here to see photos of the three winning classes!
