This week is the performance of the 6th grade play Alice@ Wonderland. 

Join Alice as she travels to mysterious and whimsical Wonderland, where things are never as they appear. On her journey, she will encounter many beloved characters like the Mad Hatter, the white rabbit, and the Cheshire cat, but will she survive the evil Queen of Hearts who wants to behead her for stealing tarts? Find out this weekend! 

Performances for Alice@Wonderland will take place this Friday and Saturday. The show begins at 7pm. Students get in free with your student ID and tickets are $5 for everyone else.

 

Next week is Red Ribbon Week and to help celebrate, we’re going to have a spirit wear theme each day.  First up on Monday will be everyone’s favorite – Pajama Day! Here are the rest of the days so that you can start planning.  Tuesday will be Twin Day, Wednesday Wear Red, Thursday will be Travel Day and Friday will be a Viking Spirit Day.

Student Council will be meeting tomorrow morning at 8:00am in the sewing room to finish decorating the red ribbon food drive collection bins.

 

The Variety Show is just around the corner.  Auditions begin next week and are open to all grade levels.  Sign up in the Main Office beginning tomorrow for an audition time. See Mr. Japlon in 7 White with any questions.

 

Are you interested in playing chess? Come join Chess Club this week on Thursday! The meeting will be at North this week, but we will meet in the South library after school Thursday and walk over to North together! Come get your chess on. See Miss Swiderski in 8W for more information. Be sure to arrange for a ride home at 4:20 or you can take the bus home!

 

7th/8th grade boys’ basketball tryouts, 7th/8th grade Cheerleading tryouts, and 6th/7th/8th grade Wrestling practice starts on Monday, October 21. You must have a physical on file and you must be registered online on the school's 8to18 website. See the main office with questions.

 

Attention 8th graders!  This one is just for you – we’ve seen you reading it…Scythe by Neal Shusterman!  Join us TONIGHT for pizza and discussion of this intriguing book. It’s not too late.  See Mrs. Fedor or Mrs. Hollis for information.

 

Leo’s Club is meeting today after school until 4:25 in 6B to plan for Red Ribbon Week and beyond. 

 

FCA is meeting on Thursday morning at 7:30 in Ms. Beyer’s room 223.

 

7th Grade football players, don’t forget that today after school is your end-of-season pizza party.
